Announcing our return to the stage!
At Aurora Theatre, we typically reserve the term “pivot” for dancers in the rehearsal hall when choreographing a musical number. This past year we became well acquainted with that term. We danced around the pandemic creatively figuring out ways to bring art to our community. We are so grateful you were our partner through all of it.
We are thrilled that the 21/22 season will mark our return to the stage for live, in-person theatrical productions. And we get to share with you the brand new, sparkling 500-seat Grand Stage Theatre of the Lawrenceville Arts Center.

Even More Flexibility – Select Your Seats
With a new venue come new seats and new sightlines. We’re offering subscribers the ultimate flexibility this season, so you can find your favorite part of the new house. For this season only, you can choose different seats for each production in the series. You can also choose different date and time combinations. This is a once-in-lifetime chance to test-drive seats before you choose your permanent location when renewing next year. Don’t worry, we will still have your favorite Mainstage seat saved when the season is in both venues in 22-23.

CHRISTMAS CANTEEN*, An Aurora Original November 26 – December 23, 2021 Gwinnett’s longest-running theatrical holiday tradition, Christmas Canteen, hits the quarter century mark! Now in its 25th year, this stunning musical revue is an explosion of Christmas magic brimming with songs, comic sketches and trips down memory lane making The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, even more wonderful. This milestone production promises many surprises. For thousands across the region, it’s just not Christmas without Christmas Canteen. |

Rodgers + Hammerstein’s CINDERELLA* Music by Richard Rodgers March 10 – April 3, 2022 Aurora Theatre starts the 25th Anniversary Season with a classic musical the whole family will love. The ultimate fairy-tale Cinderella is brought to life by the legendary duo of Rodgers and Hammerstein, creators of many of Broadway’s greatest musicals including Oklahoma!, South Pacific and The Sound of Music, just to name a few. This contemporary take on the classic tale features beloved songs, “In My Own Little Corner” and “Impossible/It’s Possible” alongside a hilarious and romantic libretto with some new characters, and surprising twists. |
