If anywhere can be the wrong place, like buying a bag of chips at a convenience store, and there is no way to know when it is the wrong time, say maybe a Friday after school. How can you avoid being in the wrong place at the wrong time? Like a story from ripped from today’s headlines, All American Boys is based on the 2015 Coretta Scott King Honor Award-winning novel. Two teens—one black, one white—grapple with the repercussions of a single violent act that shakes their school, their community, and ultimately reverberates through a nation bitterly divided by racial tension.
This performance will be followed by a discussion with the artists to address the conversation about law enforcement and racism that is happening in our community.
This special edition of Aurora’s Cyber Stage will feature students from Georgia Gwinnett College.
Cyber Stage from Aurora Theatre will feature new plays, many of which have been created specifically to be presented in a virtual setting. Curated by Aurora Theatre Associate Artistic Director Justin Anderson. Performed by professional actors from the prestigious Aurora Apprentice program, this new way to experience live theatre will thrill you while remaining safe and secure at home. Following the performance, the cast will take questions from the audience.
