ADELMO GIMÉNEZ
He was born in Barquisimeto (Venezuela) and began his music studies at the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory and the musical education program of Children’s and Youth Choirs and Orchestras of Venezuela “EL SISTEMA”, in the City of Barquisimeto, where he trained as a violinist, choir and opera singer, participating in the children’s and youth orchestras and choirs of Lara State.
Between the years 1994-2000 he was a violinist in the most important national, regional and municipal concerts in the country, being conducted by great Venezuelan Maestros such as Eduardo Marturet, Tarcisio Barreto Ceballos, Antonio Gimenez and Gustavo Dudamel.
In his university stage, where he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and completed a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the National Polytechnic Experimental University “Antonio Jose de Sucre” (UNEXPO) in the city of Barquisimeto, he was also part of the typical Mavare Orchestra. With this orchestra he had the privilege of giving a concert at the Presidential Residence of Venezuela and President Rafael Caldera awards each of its members an award and names the Mavare Orchestra National Heritage for its career and prestige. He is also part of the Typical University Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Valmore Nieves and the University Choir conducted by José Carmona and Fulgencio Guerra.

In 2005 he won the Regional Festival “Un canto a Lara” promoted by the Western Opera Company, in Barquisimeto (Venezuela).
In 2006 he once again joined the “Vicente Emilio Sojo” Conservatory of Music and the musical education program for Children’s and Youth Choirs and Orchestras of Venezuela “EL
SISTEMA”, where he began his professional studies as a lyric tenor with Maestro Idwer Alvarez. He is also part as Principal Tenor I of the “Camerata Larense”, a distinguished Venezuelan choral group, directed by Maestra Libia Gómez, where he toured Nationally and Internationally. Camerata Larense is the only Latin American choral group to win the highest awards in the history of the “World Choir Games”.
Adelmo Giménez between 2006 and 2015 is also part of the Simón Bolívar National Symphonic Choir, the highest national professional choral group in Venezuela, as Choralist, Soloist and Teacher, making presentations with different famous conductors on the most important stages in the world. Within the Symphonic-Choral world Adelmo Giménez has made numerous presentations in Venezuela, the United States, Colombia, Austria, Germany, Latvia, Spain, France and the United Kingdom, presenting a wide range of musical repertoires, such as Operas, Oratorios, Cantatas, concerts chamber music, under the direction of great Maestros such as Gustavo Dudamel, Diego Matheus, Alfredo Rugeles, Libia Gomez, Christian Vásquez, Dietrich Paredes, Alfredo D’addona, Felipe Izcaray, Gregory Carreño, Lourdes Sánchez, Tarcisio Barreto Ceballos, Eduardo Marturet, Sir Simon Rattle, Helmuth Rilling and Claudio Abbado.
As a tenor, he made his debut interpreting Mozart’s Coronation Mass and later received different invitations to interpret Mozart’s Requiem, Verdi’s Requiem, Bach’s Magnificat, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Maestro Antonio Estévez’s Cantata Criolla. All these presentations accompanied by different Symphony Orchestras of the SYSTEM. As a lyric tenor, he is also invited by the Western Opera Company, in Barquisimeto (Venezuela), to belong to its stable cast between 2010-2015, performing numerous regional and national recitals, interpreting operatic works by Donizetti, Gounod, Mozart, Verdi and Puccini. , as well as popular Venezuelan and Latin American repertoire.
Since 2016 he has been a resident of the state of Georgia, United States, where he is part of the Gwinnett Symphony Orchestra Symphony Choir as Tenor I conducted by Maestro Rick Smith. He also works actively with different musical groups in the county.
